Student Spotlight:

Tripp Wright

My name is Tripp Wright and I am passionate about honoring God through fostering community. Out of that passion arose, Heart for Iberia, a non-profit I started that exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

A little background about me first; I come from a family of six and have been raised in a missional minded household. From the moment I was born, I was taken on mission trips and retreats due to my parent’s role with youth-groups, thus I was taught from an early age that faith required an action component. I graduated from Wingate University in May 2018 with a focus of communications and religious studies. I then spent my summer as an apprentice under missionaries in Northern Thailand. Through all my life endeavors, I knew I wanted to further my education in a way that would benefit my ministry, so I enrolled in the MAGS program here at ACU.

In life it is easy to get caught up in the motions and miss opportunities to build authentic relationships with those in our life and come together to make our community a better place. One of the things I have come to learn is that we are stronger when we gather together. No matter who you are, or where you come from, you have something of value to offer to others. At the end of the day, there is one God, one church, and one community; our hope at Heart for Iberia is to find each other’s strengths to make the world a better place.

A note from the GST: It’s exciting to see our students doing such incredible work and we will keep you updated on the growth of Heart for Iberia.
