Middle East Presentation TONIGHT in Shore Gallery
Tonight at 7 PM there is a free presentation in ACU’s Shore Art Gallery by world-class photographer Ellie Hamby, who has visited over 100 countries. She has also recently made trips to Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Hamby was in the last group to visit ancient Palmyra in 2011 before the Syrian civil war and prior to its take-over by ISIS. If you care about the many topics associated with the Middle East, this is a presentation for you!

Please join us from 2pm-3pm THIS Thursday in DM 141, for an artist talk by Nancy Boren and Jill Maxwell for their upcoming show opening on Saturday night.
Gallery Worker Needed ASAP
We are looking for someone to work in the ACU Downtown gallery every Wednesday and Friday from 12-3pm and then the occasional Saturday. We are urgently trying to fill this position this week. If you are interested, please contact me.
We begin registration for Spring 2016 and Summer 2016 on October 26th and will continue until Freshmen get to register on November 11th. You can begin setting up advising appointments with me on my calendar from October 5th. Freshmen and Sophomore students you can not receive your advising code until you meet with me so please do not delay in setting up your appointments. Juniors and Seniors you need advising codes to register also but you can choose whether to meet with me or not. I would prefer us to meet so we can ensure there are no issues on your pathway to graduation. You can access my calendar in the link below my name where it says YouCanBookMe.

Mandatory Meeting
Please make sure you all have Tuesday, October 6th on your schedule to attend the Departmental Mandatory meeting at 4:30pm. Attendance is required. Unlike many years when similar information has been dispensed, this year we will be announcing changes to our Graphic Design class offering schedule and Fine Art sequencing. You need to have this information. You will also receive other important information about internships, events and requirements for the year.
Show Opening Saturday, October 3rd at 6:30 ACU Downtown Gallery
A show, Iconic Figures, hosted by Jill Maxwell and Nancy Boren will open this Saturday night. Attend the opening reception at 6:30 and receive an Art Event Credit and enjoy their beautiful work.
