Join CAB as we relive our childhood with Recess. Remember the days of water colors, snacks, nap time and recess? Well, we’re bringing back those fond memories of the playground this Thursday at 8pm in Bennett Gym! That’s not all, we’re welcoming you back to the Space Jam! Watch Micheal Jordan team up with the our childhood friends, the Looney Tunes to defeat the bad guys, and it’s all FREE!!
In light of what happened last Friday, students and friends of the Abilene community will join forces to honor and support those affected by the crash by hosting the Fund the Farmers benefit concert. The concert will be held this Friday (11/11/11) at the Old Hamby Gym from 6-midnight. The concert will feature bands including The Swindlers, 21 in June, Blinded by Bears, Daniel Hixon and many others. The concert goers are asked to make a donation of $10 at the door.
We know that tragedy can strike at any time, and we have experienced it first hand. Let’s continue to do what we can to show our love and support to those affected directly and indirectly by what has now become part of our life and history. ACU is a loving community that has touched and been touched by thousands. The news of loss and pain has reached to the far reaches of the world, but in the epicenter of this painful time, let us find light in the midst of the darkness that will not overcome us for Christ has overcome the world.
