In this story, newly appointed Justice Sonia Sotomayor is quoted as saying the following:
She added that the balance between national security and free speech is “a constant struggle in this society, between our security needs and our First Amendment rights, and one that has existed throughout our history.”
I’m going to give Justice Sotomayor the benefit of the doubt and assume she mean our security needs and the rights recognized in the First Amendment.”
