ACU Dallas Virtual Open House — October 14th

by   |  10.15.20  |  Events, MSLP@ACU Dallas

It was so good to meet several students interested in the MS in SLP degree program at ACU Dallas.  As a reminder we are accepting applications for Fall 2021 via the CSDCAS systemAll application materials must be submitted by February 1, 2021 for consideration.  ACU has one application — within that application you will designate which location [Dallas or Abilene] is your top preference.  Be sure to indicate your top preference, undecided applicants will be divided between the locations.

If you were unable to attend last night’s virtual open house, you can watch the recording OR attend our next virtual event scheduled for Friday, November 6 from 7pm-8pm CST.  RSVP for this event with the ACU Graduate Office!

Highlights of the Open House last night include:

  • The Dallas program is meeting classes in-person at the Dallas campus.
  • Health and safety are our number one priority and we are successfully keeping everyone safe to date.
  • Current students are participating at clinical sites mostly in-person and some via teletherapy.
  • Current students are on track to complete the program and graduate on time!

We are not able to host in-person tours of the Dallas campus but you can be there virtually with this video tour.  If you would like to connect with a current ACU Dallas graduate student and talk about their experiences in the program, please contact Dr. Brenda Bender — brenda.bender@acu.edu.  She will have a current student contact you!

A dozen plus students from the ACU Chapter of NSSLHA volunteered at  the annual BUNCO for Breast Cancer held on October 15th.  Sponsored by Hendrick Medical Center, the Communication Sciences and Disorders majors served as table referees, passing out beads and prizes to table winners. This is the second year for our students to participate.
