We finished up Development Cycle 38 last week, which spans January 21st through February 8th.  Here are some of the highlights for this cycle:

  • New Personnel – We are excited that we have hired people to fill all of our open positions, which means we are fully-staffed for the first time since August.  It will take some time to get new personnel acclimated and trained.
  • Cognos – We have started work on to set up Cognos BI and Cognos TM1, which included working with Infolink Consulting for software installation and training this past week.  We will continue to work with Infolink over the coming weeks as they help us build out the infrastructure and reports.  We are partnering with the Financial Operations for this project, but we hope that this will eventually be a campus-wide reporting solution.
  • myACU – We have been working through a few residual issues since go-live and should be wrapping up work this week.
  • Blogs Update – We are wrapping up work to update our test environment to WordPress 3.5.1.  We should be ready to start end-user testing later this week and will continue to target a production update during the week of Spring Break.
  • OpenClass – Work continues as the campus prepares for the migration from Blackboard to Pearson’s OpenClass.  We are in the final phase of testing the work to automate the creation of new courses in OpenClass and anticipate enabling this functionality soon.  Additionally, we have been supporting the Adams Center and Pearson as we identify the Blackboard courses that need to be converted to OpenClass.
  • In all, 61 development issues were completed during this development cycle in addition to the on-going projects mentioned above.

See Dev Cycle 38 – Resolved Issues for a more in-depth summary.
