We finished up Development Cycle 44 last week, which spans May 28th through June 14th.  Here are some of the highlights for this cycle as well as ongoing work:

  • Royall undergrad admissions application – Enrollment Marketing introduced a few changes for the 2014 term application, which requires some programming changes to the Talisma import process.  We are in the final stages of testing and plan to push updates to production in the coming week.
  • Fire Engine Red graduate admissions application – We are working with Graduate Enrollment Marketing to prepare for their admissions application move to Fire Engine Red (FER).  We are making adjustments  based on testing of the Talisma data import processes, which should be completed soon.
  • myACU – We are working on some minor changes and improvements of myACU in time for Fall 2013.
  • m.acu.edu – We are working with a design firm to create a new interface for m.acu.edu in time for Fall 2013.  The new m.acu.edu will streamline the process of accessing personalized information, especially for current students.
  • Ellucian Mobile – We purchased the Ellucian Mobile Platform edition to provide a native application for iOS and Android devices.  Initial setup and preparation will begin soon with the plan to release the applications sometime in the fall.  This will eventually replace all of the functionality provided in m.acu.edu and introduce some new features that Ellucian provides.
  • Xythos (myACU Files) – We are testing a major database update in our test environment.  We are looking at a Xythos update that introduces a new mobile web interface, which could replace the custom interface we wrote five years ago.
  • Single Sign-on Update – We are working on an update to single sign-on, which will keep us up-to-date with the software in regards to security and bug fixes.
  • Meal Plan administration – We deployed all of the updates in preparation for the Fall 2013 term and June bill.
  • OpenClass – We are providing support to the Adams Center and Pearson as we move into the last stage of migrating courses to OpenClass and bringing Blackboard offline.
  • In all, 42 development issues were completed during this development cycle in addition to the on-going projects mentioned above.
