The question of vocation has long been central to liberal education. In his Spotlight, Dr. Rick Lytle will reflect on views of calling: academic, professional, and spiritual.A calling is a “divine appointment” not reserved to professional ministers and clergy. In fact, most of Jesus’ work was done with marketplace people. We’ll consider how often the teaching of Jesus builds on the work of men and women in the world.

He’s right about us being in a very privileged position and that we need to take action and do our best with what we are given.
ne way of knowing Gods calling will be singing worship songs to God, giving thanks to him for he is rich in mercies and grace , helping one another in services and speaking in tongues regularly …that way you come in contact with the spirit and you are above the flesh.another way is being silent in your mind clear , and dont think too much because the mind tends to distract us from God wants us to do , why is that because the mind is part of the flesh or is a feature of the flesh ..the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak the bible says :)
I really like this one, its something everyone can relate to. finding out what your calling is can be both easy and hard, but i think if you put your mind to it, and focus on God then you would be able to find it. It kind of reminds of i know a man who lives in a bus, how God finds you in silence. i think if we take time and be quiet we can find what God wants from us
my calling.. i don’t know yet. but i believe i will get calling from god someday.
