WHAT I COULD SAY ABOUT BEING THE “OTHER” IS HOW A LOT OF DIFFERENT RACES LOOK DOWN ON US AS PEOPLE THE AFRICAN AMERICAN PEOPLE SOMETIMES DON’T FEEL WELCOME INTO THIS WORLD BECAUSE OF HOW PEOPLE LOOK AT US AS AND “OTHER” I MEAN I COULD SAY IT REALLY BAD OF HOW PEOPLE SOMETIMES JUDGE US BUT I MEAN AS LONG AS THE MAN UPSTAIRS FORGIVES US IT REALLY SHOULD NOT MATTER I THINK D.BROWN
“I will never fully know you” is true of EVERYONE. If it is a source of anxiety, one must be paranoid all the time. One must use it as an excuse not to trust or explore the diversity of human experience and to create distance where none need exist.
Its crazy that America still uses sterilization on people who are more likely to be criminals even if they haven’t done anything yet. Its very sad that slavery is still prominent in the world.
I believe that “othering” is present within every person. We are all different and difference is something that we should all embrace instead of pushing away those who are not like us. We are each unique for a reason, and if we didn’t have variety the world would be an incredibly bland place.
othering is present within everyone one it could be intentionally or non intentionally …but we as christians should bring ourselves together in one harmony, instead of rating eachother according to wealth possession and race ..because we are all equal in Gods eyes
”othering” is the most interesting topic that I have ever had.
This video was interesting to me, because my motto is that understanding other people. Getting to know “Othering” from this video was really worth. I liked what she said at the end.
