Learning in 3 Dimensions: Virtual Reality for Teaching and Learning

The Innovation Foundry continues to partner with faculty across the campus as we demonstrate the usefulness of Virtual Reality in the higher education classroom. Virtual Reality has long been used as a simulation for medical programs and the aerospace industry, but as systems become more affordable the Innovation Foundry has been exploring classroom applications. Join our session in the Adams Center for Teaching and Learning as we explore with some of our faculty partners how we have been using VR in the classroom.

Adobe Workshop: Creating Composite Images Using Adobe Photoshop

Compositing is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene. Dr. Nil Santana, Associate Professor of Art and Design and Adobe Education Leader, teaches how to create composite images in Photoshop.  ACU students, faculty, and staff can download and install Photoshop by going to acu.edu/adobe

Download the exercise files, and watch the session below.

OER Panel Discussion (Adams Center Event)

After one year of a pilot program with the Brown Library and Innovation Foundry, ACU faculty share some of the successes and challenges they experienced with using Open Educational Resources. We also shared interesting data that was gathered from the students who were in the courses that introduced OER  in the Fall 18 and Spring 19. If you have any questions about how you can explore the use of the OER in your course feel free to contact Dr. Marisa Beard at if@acu.edu.
