After being part of a traveling exhibit called “Passages” in Colorado and then in Germany to honor the Reformation as the focal point of Museum of the Bible’s “This is Our Book” exhibit, the restored Waynai Bible made its way back to ACU on December 20, where it will be on exhibit in Special Collections until next year, at which time will return to Museum of the Bible for three years, where it will represent ACU to millions of visitors in Washington, D.C.

Francisco Rodriguez, Chief Conservator with the Museum of the Bible helped unload the large crates, assemble the Bible and prepare the exhibit for Special Collections.  He shares, “This Bible is near and dear to me. I spent many hours repairing it because the paper was deteriorating —  a long tedious job that took nearly 7 ½ miles of mending paper to restore.  I have traveled with this Bible to many places, assembling and disassembling it.”
