PGC will be open during summer hours today, Flag Day. The U.S. Flag was established in a June 14, 1777, through resolution from the Second Continental Congress. This resolution called for a national flag and established its design. By 1877, unofficial celebrations honoring the U.S. Flag occurred.
The Flag Code declared no other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the U.S. flag, except for state flags. The U.S. flag must be on its right according to the National Flag Day Foundation
