Why are you involved in undergraduate research?

I believe that involving students in undergrad research benefits them in several concrete ways. First of all, it gives them an advantage in graduate school. It also gives them something unique to include on a resume/application. I believe understanding the research process helps them to become lifelong learners and helps them think more critically or on a higher level.
