An American artist and photographer, Alexa Meade paints her subjects and scenes to trick the eye. All of her photos look like paintings, though they are live people who have been painted to look so. Her work is incredible and she is extremely talented. Looking at her pictures, I still had a hard time believing they were real people. Check it out at http://alexameade.com/artwork/

Cory Richards is a photographer for National Geographic. He’s amazing and has a story to go with every single picture. He took a selfie that was once featured on the cover of the magazine because he had just survived an avalanche and took the shot in the aftermath of realizing he was still alive. Check out his work at http://www.coryrichards.com/#mi=1&pt=0&pi=39&p=-1&a=-1&at=0

I have loved this music video for quite a while. The whole video is made up of many individual pictures-and creates an entire story of this girl, dreaming in bed. It is AMAZING, check it out! I think that anyone could take pictures like these and put them all together in this way to create a scene and story.

Even though this is my 8th post, I thought this was interesting to share.

Remember Myspace Tom? You know, the first friend you had that was number one on your top eight whenever you created your account?

Yeah, well update on his life, sold Myspace to some other dude and for a quite heavy load of money and uses his earning to travel the world taking absolutely breath taking photographs.

Right on, Myspace Tom, right on.

David Leeson

This last post of mine is over ACU alumni himself, David Leeson. It is quite obvious that I obsesses over editorial sports photographers, but the amount of respect I have for Leeson’s work and knowing his family when I was younger makes his photographs extremely impactful. I fear that I might find myself getting into photojournalism in the future to the point where I am on a plane to the other side of the world shooting events during warfare. But it is crucial that there are people like David Leeson out there taking those pictures to send back to America to educate us on what is happening on the other side of the world so we are not ignorant of world issues. Looking through his work, it is hard for me to pull his greatest work, because his greatest work can also be painful to look at to see malnourished children, to see soliders fighting, or see the homeless suffering on the side of the road. But overall his work has helped bring America back to reality, and no I am not talking about the reality that the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” clog our brains to be. I’m talking about the reality that not every country is as stable as America today. Yes, we are not perfect, but goodness gracious we are truly blessed that it is stable enough to where we are not in fear every time we leave our front door step. I recommend taking a deeper look into David Leeson’s work, your perspective on what is happening around the world will be changed.
