Abilene is known for having a small town feel while also being a relatively large town! It\u2019s actually one of the larger towns in West Texas and is home to approximately 120,000 folks. The area is growing with new movie theaters, restaurants, shopping centers popping up all over. Abilene is also known for being one of the towns with the most churches and nonprofits per capita. Another plus: the cost of living in Abilene is very low, which means you can live in a nice place that is close to campus without breaking your bank. Also, traffic is next to non-existent.<\/span><\/p>\n
