Cramer of Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary. This work is meant to serve as a great entry point for those who are looking to explore Christian perspectives on nonviolence in a variety of contexts. Specifically designed to help newcomers to the topic to get acquainted with the space, this work\u00a0 . This work explores how our current church practices can contribute to our isolation rather than present a meaningful alternative. Engaging with the work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Werntz seeks to make the argument that church communities serve a critical formational function within the lives of individual Christians. Familiar church practices perform a crucial, formational functions within Christian communities. Applying Bonhoeffer to our current church contexts, this work imagines a different vision for Christian community that offers a theologically informed alternative to the myriad of forces that push our world toward isolation.
