Once requested, your course shell should be ready in 2-4 hours.<br \/>\nTo request live shells, follow these steps<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to your MyACU (my.acu.edu) page;<\/li>\n<li>Select the semester, which will show your courses for the semester. \u00a0(If you do not see the semester or your course showing up, it probably means you are not listed in a particular course as an instructor for the semester. \u00a0You will need to consult the registrar&#8217;s office to verify the record.)<\/li>\n<li>Click on &#8220;Tools&#8221; tab as shown below;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2015\/04\/Screen-Shot-2015-04-27-at-9.06.03-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4325 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2016\/08\/course-tool-300x106.png\" alt=\"Course tools\" width=\"300\" height=\"106\" \/> <\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">4. If you want to create a new blank shell, click on &#8220;+&#8221; to request a new shell. \u00a0If you want to copy a course that you have previously taught, click on the copy icon, and select the shell to copy from. \u00a0Please note that the copying option only creates a clone copy, including the dates. \u00a0If you want to remove or adjust the dates, you might want to create a blank new shell and copy the content later on as shown in <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/2015\/05\/01\/copy-a-canvas-course-from-a-master-shell\/\">this tutorial<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4320 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2016\/08\/request-course-300x117.png\" alt=\"Request courses\" width=\"300\" height=\"117\" \/>5. Click on &#8220;yes&#8221; if you are asked to confirm. \u00a0If you do not see a course to copy from, select &#8220;create&#8221; instead to create a blank shell. \u00a0You can import content from another course within Canvas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">6. \u00a0Once you send the\u00a0request to create or copy, the task will be added to the list for creation. \u00a0In between\u00a02 and 4 hours, your course will be created.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">7.
