Tools for Remote Teaching<\/p>\n

And most of these tools are integrated into Canvas for the simplicity of access. And these tools include:<\/span><\/p>\n

Canvas Conference:<\/b>
\n<\/b>Canvas Conference is one function of Canvas that you can use. You can use it to hold synchronous sessions with students with voice, video, chat, and screen-sharing. You can record the meeting for later access and the recordings will be stored for 14 days. It also has a polling function that you can use to assess student responses on the fly. Zoom Meeting: <\/b>
\n<\/b>Zoom is a popular synchronous meeting tool that is now integrated into Canvas as an LTI. It does everything that Canvas Conference does except that it is limited to 40 minutes. In addition, it does not have a polling function like Canvas Conference. Check <\/span>this video<\/span><\/a> from the Adams Center to learn how to use it. One advantage of Zoom meeting is that you can invite external speakers who do not have an ACU account.<\/span><\/p>\n

Google Meet:<\/strong> You can also use Google Meet\/Google Hangouts to schedule online classes or meetings. You can visit meet.google.com<\/a>, or launch a meeting from your ACU email or calendar.\u00a0 Check this tutorial<\/a> for further information.<\/p>\n
