Student Fellows Britt Garland and Logan Kindred focused their discussion on intentional practices within the classroom and professors’ reasoning for choosing teaching methods. They started with an engaging activity of passing the ball around the room to answer a series of discussion questions. The professors seemed engaged and enthusiastic about the discussion-based kinesthetic activity.<\/p>\n

They then talked about the baseline desire of students to enjoy learning in their classroom. They connected that point to many examples of activities professors have done intentionally and well in the classroom in Britt and Logan\u2019s past.<\/p>\n

After dialogue about research facts about intentional activity in the classroom, the professors and the student fellows talked about how important it is for students to hear professors’ whys and see the intent and passion they have in the classroom. It was also illuminating to hear the professors’ opinions on why some classes are structured differently.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, pictures were taken of professors who have supported and formed in our journey at ACU!<\/p>\n
