Through classroom observations, conversation, and shared reflection, you&#8217;ll gain fresh perspectives on your teaching while contributing your own experience and expertise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How do Teaching Squares work?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Faculty will be placed in interdisciplinary groups of three or four.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each group will meet at least once a month throughout the Fall semester.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Participants will share course materials, offer constructive feedback, and observe one another&#8217;s teaching.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Participant Expectations<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify an aspect of your course or teaching on which you&#8217;d like feedback.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Observe at least one fellow group member&#8217;s class and receive at least one classroom observation yourself.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meet regularly as a group\u2014over coffee, a meal, or in the Adams Center. (We&#8217;ll even provide a Bean voucher or AC lunch to help fuel the conversation!)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Keep all observations and feedback confidential within your Teaching Square. Focus on formative growth, not evaluation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Inviting colleagues into your classroom and sharing your course materials can feel vulnerable. Yet those conversations often lead to some of the most meaningful professional growth.
