In one sense, we feel more connected through social media and various technological advances. At the tap of a finger, the requested pieces of information are readily available. Yet, such information alone does not necessarily produce understanding or wisdom. In a more profound sense, we recognize the difference between acquiring many pieces of information and seeing how they fit together in light of one another. Recognizing such a difference raises an important question: what does it mean to pursue wisdom in an information age? This session explores the relevance of John Henry Newman&#8217;s thought for addressing such a question.
