\n<\/strong>The Woods:<\/em> Despite the fact that ACU offers standardized language for the university\u2019s Academic Integrity policy, what is considered a violation of academic integrity in one course — collaborating on homework, using sources on an online test — may be acceptable behavior in another. How can individual professors communicate academic integrity expectations to students most effectively? Bring your laptop or syllabi as we will spend time considering ways to clearly communicate academic integrity in your courses.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>The Classroom: <\/em>Do you ever have questions (or maybe even some confusion) about what goes into determining academic accommodations, your related responsibilities, and what to do if concerns arise? \n<\/strong>The Woods:<\/em> Do your students often ask you to clarify your essay instructions after you assign them? Do they sometimes turn in well-written papers that miss your rhetorical intent? Many times, a carefully crafted prompt can forego this confusion and support your pedagogical goals as students seek to answer them. In this session, Cole Bennett will invite you to focus on how you ask students to write and provide strategies you may find useful. You are urged to bring prompts that you might wish to revise.<\/p>\n

Student Video Projects with Adobe Rush: Kyle Dickson
\n<\/strong>The Bamboo Room:<\/em> Many students arrive on campus as storytellers and media producers. Join us to hear faculty share how they’ve used video projects to tap into these new literacies. We’ll also showcase Adobe’s Premiere Rush as a tool for producing video projects with minimal training.<\/p>\n
