{"id":7812,"date":"2020-02-10T10:18:42","date_gmt":"2020-02-10T16:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/?p=7812"},"modified":"2020-02-10T10:18:42","modified_gmt":"2020-02-10T16:18:42","slug":"copy-or-send-your-canvas-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/2020\/02\/10\/copy-or-send-your-canvas-content\/","title":{"rendered":"Copy or send your Canvas content"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When you want to import a specific item (page, assignment, quiz, discussion, etc) with yourself or your colleague, you had to use course export\/import or Canvas Commons in the past.\u00a0 Canvas has a new feature update now that allows faculty members to share single items more directly with himself\/herself in another course, or to send to a colleague.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, click on the three-dot options icon for any item, and you will see &#8220;send to&#8230;&#8221; which allows you to send the item to someone else, or &#8220;copy to,&#8221; which allows you to copy the content or activity to yourself in another course.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7813 size-medium alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/02\/options-menu-199x300.png\" alt=\"Options menu\" width=\"199\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/02\/options-menu-199x300.png 199w, https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/02\/options-menu.png 410w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 199px) 100vw, 199px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you choose &#8220;copy to&#8221;, you can start to type the name of the course, find the course you want to copy to, and choose it, and you can also choose which module you want to copy to, if you use &#8220;modules.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7814 size-medium alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/02\/copyto-275x300.png\" alt=\"A screen that shows how to copy your course content\" width=\"275\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To send it to a colleague, start to type the name of your colleague, select it when it shows up, and then press &#8220;send.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7815 size-medium alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/02\/sendtoron-300x172.png\" alt=\"A screen that shows how to send content to someone\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Your colleague will look for the item under his or her name once logged in to Canvas, as shown below.
