{"id":8489,"date":"2020-08-27T15:11:38","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T20:11:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/?p=8489"},"modified":"2020-08-27T15:11:38","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T20:11:38","slug":"soars-role-with-students-learning-remotely","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/2020\/08\/27\/soars-role-with-students-learning-remotely\/","title":{"rendered":"SOAR&#8217;s Role with Students Learning Remotely"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">Here is some helpful information from SOAR regarding their role in assisting faculty with students who need to switch to remote learning or back to in-person learning.<\/span><\/div>\n<ul class=\"bi6gxh9e aov4n071 fjf4s8hc mf5omzu7\">\n<li>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">When a student is approved for remote online learning by the ACU Medical Clinic, the faculty will get a formal notification from SOAR of this approval.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">Once a student is approved for return from the ACU Medical Clinic, they will get another formal notification from SOAR.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">If a student is struggling to adapt to remote online learning or transition back to in-person learning, faculty can submit a recommendation to SOAR for the student.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">If a student is having to isolate\/quarantine, they are being offered a Care Coordinator who will serve these students with support, encouragement, and help with basic needs\/resources.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div class=\"bi6gxh9e\"><span class=\"oi732d6d ik7dh3pa d2edcug0 hpfvmrgz qv66sw1b c1et5uql jq4qci2q a3bd9o3v knj5qynh oo9gr5id\">Any and all academic communication regarding a student will always come from SOAR and it should not come from a Care Coordinator.
