{"id":8581,"date":"2021-08-12T14:15:37","date_gmt":"2021-08-12T19:15:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/?p=8581"},"modified":"2022-02-15T14:50:24","modified_gmt":"2022-02-15T20:50:24","slug":"turnitin-quick-check","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/2021\/08\/12\/turnitin-quick-check\/","title":{"rendered":"Turnitin Quick Check"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you have not turned on Turnitin for an assignment in Canvas, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/turnitin-feedback-studio\/using-turnitin\/\">as shown here<\/a>, but would like to check one paper retrospectively, you can use the Turnitin&#8217;s &#8220;Quick Submit&#8221; function to check individual papers.<\/p>\n<p>Here is how to set it up:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Go to Turnitin.com (not in Canvas).<\/li>\n<li>Log in using your ACU email. (If you have used Turnitin associated with Canvas, you probably have an account already with your ACU email as user name. Use &#8220;forgot password&#8221; to retrieve or reset your password.)<\/li>\n<li>Click on your name to display all user information.<\/li>\n<li>For the &#8220;activate quick submit&#8221; option under &#8220;account settings,&#8221; turn the option to &#8220;yes.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down and click on &#8220;submit&#8221; to save your change. You will then see a new tab called &#8220;Quick Submit&#8221; showing up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-08-at-1.58.38-PM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8585 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-08-at-1.58.38-PM-1024x521.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"539\" height=\"274\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>6. Click on the &#8220;Quick Submit&#8221; tab.<\/p>\n<p>7. Click on &#8220;submit&#8221; or &#8220;here,&#8221; as shown below, to start the submission.<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-08-at-1.54.23-PM.png\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8582 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2020\/10\/Screen-Shot-2020-10-08-at-1.54.23-PM-1024x334.png\" alt=\"Submit paper\" width=\"668\" height=\"218\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>8. Check all the options for searches, and for the dropdown menu for &#8220;submit paper to&#8221;, choose &#8220;no repository,&#8221; in case you need students to submit the paper to Turnitin again later.<\/p>\n<p>9.
