This is especially helpful if you have Zoom sessions scheduled and Canvas happens to have a load issue during the time of a synchronous session. You and students would not need to go to Canvas to meet online in Zoom. This is a good &#8220;Plan B&#8221; for situations of downtime. Make sure you notify students early in the semester.<\/p>\n<p>As an instructor, you can first create your Zoom meetings in Canvas. These meetings will show up automatically in Canvas calendar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/1-Create-Zoom-Meetings.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8717\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/1-Create-Zoom-Meetings-1024x814.png\" alt=\"1 Create Zoom Meetings\" width=\"600\" height=\"477\" \/><\/a>Once this is set up, students should be able to go to their Zoom app and find the session under &#8220;meetings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-26-at-9.56.23-AM.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8726\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/Screen-Shot-2021-03-26-at-9.56.23-AM-1024x714.png\" alt=\"Find meetings\" width=\"800\" height=\"558\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, ask students to add Canvas calendar to their Google calendar. Here is how:<\/p>\n<p>Go to your Canvas calendar (click on &#8220;view calendar&#8221; on your course home page), find &#8220;Calendar Feed,&#8221; and copy it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/3.-Get-feed.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-8719\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/files\/2021\/03\/3.-Get-feed-1024x535.png\" alt=\"3.
