See some of her work online here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sarahmaxwellenglish.com\/\">http:\/\/www.sarahmaxwellenglish.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Study Abroad Interest Meeting<\/strong>-Monday, October 12th at 11:30am in Don Morris 141.\u00a0 If you have questions about the up-coming summer abroad trip, please come to this meeting to have all your questions answered.\u00a0\u00a0 Pizza will be served.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROFESSIONAL COMPETITIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nAll non-freshmen Art &amp; Design majors, other than Interior Design and Pre-Architecture, are required to enter one juried show or competition per academic year that is sponsored by a non-ACU organization. Here is a great one to enter:<\/p>\n<p>INTERCOLLEGIATE STUDENT ART COMPETITION AT THE CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ARTS<\/p>\n<p>Registration Deadline: October 15, 2009<br \/>\nDrop-Off: October 30, 2009 (Artwork is due at the center by 5:00pm)<\/p>\n<p>Open to students of Abilene Christian University, Cisco Junior College, Hardin-Simmons University, McMurry University and Texas State Technical College<br \/>\nThe competition will be judged by local artists\u2026.<br \/>\nCash prizes will be awarded in various categories, and automatic Center Student Artist Membership will be awarded to Best of Show.<br \/>\nThere is no fee to enter the competition.<\/p>\n<p>Limit two entries per student; 2-D entries must be framed or gallery-wrapped canvases and hang-ready (No saw-tooth hangers, please).\u00a0 Pieces that are not hang-ready will be disqualified.<br \/>\nThe Center is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.<br \/>\nRegistration Forms are in Don Morris 142<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cockerell Gallery-<\/strong> located downtown Abilene- 1133 N2nd Street.<br \/>\n\u201cNY\/East Coast Alumni Show\u201d ABI\/NYC Exhibition<br \/>\nABI\/NYC<br \/>\nOctober 8-November 4<br \/>\nThis exhibit showcases the creative works of four talented artists\/designers that thrive in the internationally competitive arts arena of New York City.<br \/>\nThe artists, Jeff Rogers, Ryan Feerer, Jesse Willmon, and Janna Luttrell are all alumni of ACU\u2019s Department of Art and Design.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shore Art Gallery<\/strong>&#8211; \u201cWharton\u2019s Jelly\u201d by Sarah Maxwell English.
