<\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/strong>
\nDesign a prototype of a sculpture that will represent women who have trained, influenced and\/or have given in some way their children in service to God. It could also represent women who have influenced children in a Godly way who are not their offspring. One of the Designs will be used to inspire a life-size bronze sculpture that will be placed on the ACU campus.<\/p>\n

(Possible themes: <\/em>From generation to generation, passing the torch, matriarch, mentoring, etc\u2026)<\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong>
\nAny ACU art student<\/p>\n

Prizes:
\n<\/strong>1st<\/sup> place- $500
\n2nd<\/sup> place- $300
\n3rd<\/sup> place- $100<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) Drawings:<\/em>
\nGraphite, Conte, or charcoal rendered on an 18\u201d x 24\u201d Strathmore (or comparable brand) finished in a mass and volume style to suggest three dimensionality.<\/p>\n

OR<\/em><\/p>\n

2) Sculpted Prototypes:<\/em>
\nOil clay sculpted in the full round on a clean MDF base with the edges sanded to a 220 grit finish. There may be a need for an armature mounted into the base, especially if there are appendages that are in need of support.<\/p>\n

Deadline:<\/strong>
\nSubmit proposals at the Department of Art and Design office (DM 142) by November 30, 2012<\/p>\n
