Ashley Smith<\/a> is the first ACU A&D student to have her work selected for the prestigious\u00a0Rising Eyes of Texas Exhibition. This annual show, now in its ninth year, surveys the best art made by graduate and undergraduate art students enrolled at Texas colleges and universities. Anna Slothart, Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the San Antonio Museum of Art, was the exhibition juror. Ashley’s painting,\u00a0Open for Interpretation, was among the works featured in this year’s exhibition.\u00a0Rising Eyes of Texas opened at the Rockport Art Center in Rockport, Texas on March 12 and ran through April 2, 2016.
