Friday: Guest Speaker! Caldecott-award winning illustrator<\/h3>\n

Be sure to come hear Caldecott-award winning book illustrator Brian Floca’s presentation at 9 a.m. this Friday in the gallery! Floca is the illustrator of Locomotive (2014 Caldecott Medal winner and a New York Times bestseller), Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, Lightship,The Racecar Alphabet, and many others. Floca will also be giving a talk at 5:30 this Thursday at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature.<\/p>\n

\nCaricature Artist needed for Beltway North Fall Carnival<\/h3>\n

Beltway has an annual Fall Carnival coming up on Halloween night and they are looking for an artist who can draw caricatures and would like earn a little extra money doing it.
