Christmas Slam

5 Commentsby   |  12.08.11  |  Uncategorized

If you plan on going out of town this weekend, you may want to rethink that…missing Christmas Slam would be a huge mistake! OK, maybe that’s a bit melodramatic, but missing the wobble, donating teddy bears to children and some awesome basketball is, “no me gusta” as I would say, but if that doesn’t peak your interest, missing Mark Lewis dressed as Santa Claus is like…there are no words! Here’s a little preview of what’s going down:

5:30

Women’s Basketball v. Cameron

6:30

Pre Game Party and pic w/ Santa

7:30

Men’s Basketball v. Cameron

Halftime

Teddy Bear toss for Seasons of Caring

Wobble

Post Game

Elf (the movie) w/ free popcorn and drinks

I also hear rumours of sleigh rides and elves, and I’ll do what I can to possibly make it snow (not sure I can really make that happen). There will be tons of give-a-aways, free pizza, and if that doesn’t get you there, I guess nothing will. So, grab some friends, your appetite and your cheering voice so we can cheer out Wildcat basketball teams to victory! See you there.

Weekend Abilene

1 Commentby   |  12.02.11  |  Uncategorized

So the end of the semester is creeping for some, and coming like a speed train for many and there aren’t many days left for you to enjoy Abilene before you’re packing your things and headed to the snowy mountains to hit the slopes, going to enjoy family in your home town or keeping your head buried in books to complete an intensive January short course. You have your head spinning with the millions of papers and projects that you have to do before the end of the semester, but give yourself a break, even for an hour, step away from your books, leave the library and get some fresh crisp Fall air. Here are some suggestions for you study break:

ACU Men’s Basketball Game, Moody, Saturday at 7pm

HSU Theatre Presents: A Christmas Carol, HSU, Saturday/Sunday, 7:30pm. Call 325-670-1405 for ticket information

Go see a movie–Arthur Christmas, Hugo and Tower Heist have all gotten rave reviews. Grab some friends, take your study group or your roommate(s), see and movie and tell us what you think.

Some time this weekend, ladies step away from Pinterest, guys put down the control and take a break from Call of Duty and go mingle with the rest of society. I pray you all have a great weekend! If you’re traveling, please be safe, if you’re staying, come support the Wildcat basketball team…you’ll be in for a great surprise!

Until next time…move it like CAB
