First and foremost, dress for success! If you want to be taken seriously, then dress to be taken seriously. Even if the employer approves of casual dress, you can’t go wrong with a professional outfit.
It is important that you put your best foot forward and make a professional first impression. Be confident and communicate clearly. Bring copies of your résumé printed on professional résumé paper to distribute to potential employers when asked.
