The three major components of the Student Services Team are:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><b>Admission\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Advisors<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>partner with students to determine the program that best fits their educational goals.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Advisors<\/span>\u00a0follow the student throughout the entire application process and answer all questions about programs, forms, fees and everything a student needs to do before beginning the selected program. The\u00a0<span class=\"il\">advisor<\/span>\u00a0also provides students with information on any potential transfer credits and admission requirements.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><b>A Financial Intake Specialist<\/b> explains the financial options available and helps students select a plan that meets their specific needs &#8211; including external grants, scholarships, loans, tuition deferral and other services such as military\/veteran benefits. They are the student\u2019s financial expert throughout the academic experience and are available to answer any financial questions.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"gmail_default\"><b>A Student Service <span class=\"il\">Advisor<\/span>\u00a0<\/b>supports students throughout the duration of their degree. They walk students through setting up their email, accessing the student portal, to the navigation of the online classroom (Canvas LMS). Their role in the first two courses is to ensure that students have the materials necessary to be successful in starting strong with their educational journey. From resources to weekly encouragement, our\u00a0<span class=\"il\">advisors<\/span>\u00a0provide the necessary support to become adjusted in the online environment. As students progress in their program, student services\u00a0<span class=\"il\">advisors<\/span>\u00a0answer specific questions about setting and maintaining course schedules, program advising issues, and academic support. They work with students through their graduation date addressing student retention and persistence. They are the students\u2019 resource for academic policy and procedure and also provide students with valuable insight concerning resources to assist students throughout their academic program.
