Fall 2012 Course Projects

As the ACU at CitySquare partnership begins this Fall, three exciting projects get underway in the following courses.

 

  • SOCW 615/616 – Applied Social Work Experience

First year Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) students will engage in a research project in Dallas at CitySquare. Their experience begins with a two-day field experience which will expose them to CitySquare and the broad range of social service programs offered. Throughout the course of their first year, MSSW students return for three more field experiences as their applied research project advances.

  • MKTG 495 – Marketing Strategies

This fall senior Marketing majors in the College of Business Administration will engage in a capstone project at CitySquare as part of a senior-level Marketing Strategy course.  They will travel to Dallas to conduct marketing analysis as a team.  They will assess their findings and return to CitySquare to propose creative marketing solutions to CitySquare administrators.

  • IT 440 – Managing Technical Projects

Students from the School of Information Technology in the College of Business Administration will engage in project teams to assess and create IT solutions for CitySquare.  Students from every major in the iSchool apply skills in this senior capstone experience as they practice bringing Christian leadership and service to organizations.
