Use Photoshop and InDesign.<\/p>\n<p>The book cover\u2019s dimensions should be 6\u2033 by 9\u2033 with a spine of 1.5\u2033<\/p>\n<p><strong>Margins:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Inside<\/strong> .75in<strong> Outside<\/strong>.5in <strong>Top<\/strong> .5in <strong>Bottom<\/strong>.5in<\/p>\n<p><strong>Save a pdf of your book cover turn in on Canvas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cover must have the following elements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>title<\/li>\n<li>dominant art<\/li>\n<li>author<\/li>\n<li>logo of publisher<\/li>\n<li>description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It may also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>about the author<\/li>\n<li>review quotes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You aren\u2019t required to use stock photos, but here are a few stock photography websites I find helpful:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/stocksnap.io\/\">stocksnap.io<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/\">flickr.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.veer.com\/products\/images\/\">veer.com<\/a>\u00a0(some of these are paid, but for educational purposes only, you can use them)<\/li>\n<li>OR any of the sites mentioned in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.entrepreneur.com\/article\/238646\">this article<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your work will be evaluated based on your application of design principles.
