The Department of Communication and Sociology awards a variety of scholarships each year. Scholarships include the following:
- First-Year Scholarship: These scholarships are awarded to select incoming freshmen who declare a major in Communication or Sociology. Students must also enroll in at least three hours in their major each semester. Scholarships are $1,000 each and divided between Fall and Spring. Click here to learn more.
- Brown Forensic Endowment: These are competitive scholarships awarded to students who compete on the ACU Debate team. Contact Sheila Ritchie, forensics coach, for additional information.
- COSO Ambassador Scholarship: These are competitive scholarships available to Communication or Sociology majors interested in departmental leadership and service. COSO Ambassadors develop professional and leadership skills by serving as departmental representatives, activity facilitators, event coordinators, student liaisons, outreach event participants, and more. Students must enroll in at least three hours in their major each semester. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500 and are divided between Fall and Spring.
