The Speaking Center knows that you have presentations coming up in your Cornerstone class, and we’d like to help. We have created this short video podcast to help you think about how to turn your paper into a speech and to provide you with some tips for practicing and delivering your presentation.
But there is only so much advice we can give you in five minutes, so we would encourage you to make an appointment to come down to the Speaking Center where we can offer you more specific tips for planning your speech and/or finding and citing credible sources. You can also schedule an appointment to practice your presentation in front of one of our student tutors who can provide you with feedback and a few suggestions for improving your delivery.
We are located downstairs in the library and and open most afternoons:
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 12-9 pm
Wednesday and Friday, 12-5 pm
Sunday, 7-10 pm
