Jennifer Mays is in the process of writing a novel about her journey through Usher’s Syndrome and also several stories are in the works for other novels. She hopes to become published within the next year or two.

Jennifer wants to thank her husband, Tony Mays, for being her biggest supporter and cheerleader throughout this process of returning to school.

Lindsie Lawson

Lindsie Lawson is very busy as the RA for Smith-Adams Residence Hall, SCL (AD) for Morris Hall in the coming year, Secretary for Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honor Society), and an Intern for the OMA Student Cultural Affairs Council.

After graduating with her degree in Spanish and Global Studies, she hopes to complete some sort of gap year program, whether it be through Fulbright or a missions organization. She thens plan to attend graduate school for a Master’s in International Poverty and Development, which will hopefully lead to a career in international humanitarian and social justice work, as well as ministry.

She wants to thank her family and friends for constantly walking alongside her, encouraging her, and being such great examples of love and grace.

Richard Alexander

Richard Alexander is a sophomore from Coppell, TX majoring in English Education. He enjoys reading, writing, and camping. After graduation Richard plans to teach at the High School level and instill a love of reading and writing in his students. He hopes to one day become a published novelist.

He would like to thank his parents and sisters for supporting him and helping him thrive throughout his life.

Carlee Lane

Carlee Lane is a junior English and Psychology double major from Abilene, Texas. After gradation, she plans to pursue a graduate degree in counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. She is involved on campus with her social club Sigma Theta Chi, where she served as Chaplain, and also the Student Alumni Association where she serves as President. She is passionate about people and writing, and helping people become more confident writers. She has worked in the ACU Writing Center as a tutor since her freshman year. She finds joy in spending time with others, reading, learning new things, listening to podcasts, and traveling.

Raiden Sawyer

Raiden Sawyer studied abroad in Oxford, and was a small group leader for REACH Abilene North. He works at the ACU Writing Center, is a member of Swing Cats, is a part of the Honors College, and is a Theatre minor in addition to his English Major. He is planning to go to grad school, and to become a professor of English. He would like to thank Magda Rodriguez, Jake Buller, Tori Ford, Logan Owens, the entirety of Swing Cats, his family, and many more for all encouraging him to excellence.

Magda Rodriguez

Magda Rodriguez is double majoring in English and Spanish, and is a part of the Honors College. She is a member of both Sigma Delta Pi and Phi Eta Sigma. She participated in the ACU Study Abroad Oxford Program last semester and has been published in Hispaniola. Her plans for the future is to get her doctorate in Spanish literature. She would like to thank her family and friends for encouraging her in her literary pursuits and for their willingness to be her editors.
