Review Summary<\/h3>\n

Students in ministry-related degrees participate in two reviews during their program. Junior Review is the student’s first review, and it takes place in the Spring semester of the year in which they take BIBM 657 Contexts of Ministry<\/em>. Senior Review is the student’s final and cumulative review for their degree. This review can occur in either the Fall of Spring semester, and will take place in the semester in which the student enrolls in BIBM 678 Senior Portfolio Review<\/em> (a 0 credit hour module designed to prepare students for their Senior Review).<\/p>\n

Reflection is the Purpose<\/h3>\n

The word\u00a0reflection<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0fits the\u00a0purpose<\/u>\u00a0of reviews. Students reflect on their ministry preparation for reviews. Faculty guide and expand student reflection in the interview.\u00a0 The review functions as a dialogue about how the parts of student work come together as ministry formation. Student preparation produces a\u00a0constructive reflection<\/em>\u00a0of the journey (integrative<\/em>). The reading and review allow for a\u00a0collaborative assessment<\/em>\u00a0with peers and faculty (formative<\/em>\u00a0experience). The methods of measurement are a portfolio and a review as representation of students\u2019 ministry preparedness along the four GST overarching practices.<\/p>\n

    4. Reviews occur in October (during Fall Semester) or March (during Spring Semester)<\/li>\n
