Shaun will discuss his new book, &#8220;Chasing the Devil at Foggy Bottom: The Future of Religion in American Diplomacy.&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Casey was Special Representative for Religion and Global Affairs at the US Department of State and Director of the Office of Religion and Global Affairs from 2013 to 2017. He has taught at Harvard Divinity School and directed the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University. In this new book, Casey tells the story of peacemaking in the world as state and non-state actors came together in new ways to find a path forward.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Shaun will be in dialogue with Professors Mark Hamilton from the university&#8217;s Graduate School of Theology and Candice Ortbals-Wiser from the university&#8217;s Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ACU Brown Library is excited to welcome Shaun Casey (&#8217;79) back to campus at 7pm on Thursday, February 16, in the Brown Library&#8217;s Packer Forum.
