We are welcoming nominations as well as self-nominations. If you meet the eligibility requirements below, please consider running for Staff Senate. You may review the full Staff Senate bylaws <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/staffsenate\/bylaws\/\">here<\/a>. Qualifications for Staff Senators (from the bylaws):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Classified through HR as an ACU Abilene campus staff position<\/li>\n<li>Completed one full year of continuous service to ACU<\/li>\n<li>Employed by ACU at least half-time<\/li>\n<li>Has not served on the Staff Senate within the last two years<\/li>\n<li>Not currently represented by the Faculty Senate<\/li>\n<li>Is not employed as an administrator (president, vice presidents, assistant or associate vice presidents, provost, assistant or associate provost, deans, assistant or associate deans, or assistant to the president)<\/li>\n<li>Your position is not funded by a grant, so it doesn\u2019t violate the grant qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please submit your nominations or willingness to run for <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScc_uXrlszxm-iZeFdhhbNlHeVOjYMqT4VKdgujqqdKu0w3CA\/viewform\">Staff Senate<\/a> by Wednesday, March 26.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Staff Senate also wants to remind all staff of the optional CompassPro for Staff Initiative. Some upcoming events you record involvement in are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Baseball and Softball Games<\/li>\n<li>ACU Theatre &amp; Music performances (including end-of-the-year recitals)<\/li>\n<li>Multicultural Events such as <a href=\"https:\/\/app.suitable.co\/institution\/3352\/activities\/453524\">Rangeela: Festival of Colors<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The ever-available activities such as <a href=\"https:\/\/app.suitable.co\/institution\/3352\/activities\/388184\">LinkedIn Learning<\/a> completions, Serving on the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.suitable.co\/institution\/3352\/activities\/388179\">International Support Team<\/a>, Leading a Halbert Center <a href=\"https:\/\/app.suitable.co\/institution\/3352\/activities\/388176\">Trip<\/a>, and more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is election time for the 2026-28 ACU Staff Senate!
