Abilene Christian University’s Christmas Vespers performance will fill First Baptist Church Abilene with the sounds of Christmas music, poetry, and prayer. The ACU tradition will be celebrating its 8th year and is free and open to the Abilene community.<\/p>\n
Christmas Vespers is one of ACU’s proudest holiday traditions and features more than 150 students from the A Cappella Chorus, University Chorale, Orchestra, and more. The theme for this year’s service is “Gloria” and is a wonderful reminder of the hope that this season brings. The evening will feature music appropriate to the season, along with prayer, liturgy, and poetry in an atmosphere of celebration and contemplation.<\/p>\n
Led by Jeffery Goolsby, Director of Choral Activites, and Dr. Steven Ward, Director of Bands and Orchestra, Christmas Vespers will be held on Friday, December 5, at 7:30 pm at First Baptist Church Abilene.
