This is the final set of thought questions related to Austin Channing Brown\u2019s book, <\/em>I\u2019m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness.<\/em><\/p>\n

Author Ibram X. Kendi asserts that \u201cthe times when all seem lost are the times when we most need to see the people and ideas trailblazing the way out of the muck.\u201d I\u2019m Still Here<\/em> and the conversations that come from it are an attempt for the community at ACU to do our part to help blaze the trail out of the muck, to listen well to those speaking up for racial justice, and to do the hard work of anti-racism.<\/p>\n

Kendi reminds us — much like Robin DiAngelo<\/a> does — that \u201ca racist or antiracist is not who we are, but what we are doing in the moment.\u201d I hope that Austin Channing Brown, other important voices of inclusion, and our campus conversations lead us to support more anti-racist ideas, actions and policies.<\/p>\n
