At this time, ACU has made the decision NOT to participate in the temporary suspension of withholding the employee\u2019s portion of Social Security payroll taxes. This means you will not see a change in your pay due to taxes.<\/p>\n

The Executive Order issued on August 8, allows for employers to temporarily defer withholding the employee’s portion of Social Security payroll taxes. This tax deferral allows employees to see an increase in take-home pay for the remainder of 2020; however, the withholding will then have to be repaid between January 1 through April 30 of next year by collecting the additional amounts from employee\u2019s paychecks.<\/p>\n
