{"id":119,"date":"2013-08-13T12:07:50","date_gmt":"2013-08-13T17:07:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/jdh08a\/?page_id=119"},"modified":"2018-08-13T14:43:54","modified_gmt":"2018-08-13T19:43:54","slug":"service-in-university","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/jdh08a\/service-in-university\/","title":{"rendered":"Serving in the university"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Although my focus is on my own department and classes, I also feel responsible to support the university by participating in shared governance and generally supporting efforts to improve the experience of ACU students.<\/p>\n<p>I have served on several university committees, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.acu.edu\/adamscenter\/funding\/faculty-development-committee\/\">Faculty Development Committee<\/a> (September 2009 &#8211; August 2012)<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acu.edu\/community\/offices\/administrative\/office-of-the-provost\/faculty-committees\/teacher-education-council.html\">Teacher Education Council<\/a> (August 2011 &#8211; present)<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.acu.edu\/community\/offices\/administrative\/office-of-the-provost\/faculty-committees\/library-committee.html\">Library Committee<\/a> (May 2013 &#8211; May 2016)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I volunteered as a presentations judge in the ACU Undergraduate Research Festival in 2013 and 2014.
