\n* I hated the fact that there was only 50 minutes to complete a very complicated practical exam. I thought a lot of the homework should have been optional. It took away from study time that I would have dispersed among other classes

\n* The tests are simply too complex for a 50 minute course. There should be fewer questions\/tasks or less complicated questions\/tasks. The homework checker needs to be less picky about output format
\n* Many of the assignment deadlines are midnight of the same day the material is covered in detail. This needlessly creates a lot of last-minute rush. This is especially problematic if the assignment is complex.

\n* Laid-back teaching style that was informative, while not boring.
\n* He does a thorough job of teaching the material and also is humorous in a sarcastic way.
\n* Bringing a sense of humor to class, willing to take time to give personal help, challenges us with difficult problems.
\n* His willingness to help and approachability.
\n* He did a good job of explaining things and was not upset if people made mistakes. He did a good job of pointing out failings without making the student feel stoopit.
\n* I really enjoy his sense of humor and knowledge of the subject. When I feel really lost or have no idea what is going on, he is patient and explains it without making me feel dumb or incompetent.
\n* He is always in a pretty good and uplifting mood, that allows him to come to class and teach in a good mood.

\n* His office hours weren’t always the best for me, but I think that counts more as a personal problem with my schedule.
\n* I would like him to tell us a little more, rather than staring at the code, because most of the time I flat out don’t know.
\n* He could provide examples for the students to work on in class that are shorter than the homework. The students could turn these in during class as they work along with the professor on them as a class. Almost like taking notes in a math class. The teacher should just count them as a participant grade, but they can help the students understand how the programs work better than if they are just watching him do the programming.
\n* Sometimes I felt like he didn’t go over in class exactly what was going to be on the homework.
\n* Dr. Homer should try using more realistic examples on the concepts we learn in class.

\n* I liked the idea that he pitched earlier in the semester, where it was proposed that class time not be mandatory, and would be more for asking questions about the weeks homework.

\n* More variety as opposed to just writing programs all the time and better detailed notes. Study materials for the tests would also be appreciated.

\n* I, honestly, wish that the assignments were a little more practical. I found myself simply not doing a few homework assignments because they were difficult and my result was what, something that would read numbers from an array and manipulate it around? Big whoop. I know it’s not the easiest thing to do, so it’s not that I don’t get that, but… yeah.
\n* The text book could have more examples of what’s going to be on the test\/homework. It was frustrating when I was trying to figure out a homework assignment or study for a test and not all the information was in the textbook.

\n* He was interactive and entertaining. Also he would work with you for all types of circumstances.
\n* His attitude and desire to know his students as friends not simply as students. He does not look down on us, but instead encourages us and learns from us in return.
\n* He is so easy to talk to and has made me feel 100% comfortable at asking questions. He never makes me feel dumb and never ignores my questions. He also makes us feel like he genuinely cares about us. He’s also the best teacher I have had at ACU so far because of how clear his explanations are. I love the pace he goes at ad the structure of the class as a whole. Definitely one of my favorite classes at ACU
