The Media Lab is located upstairs in the AT&T Learning Studio. We offer recording and editing facilities for all students and faculty.\u00a0Media workstations are available for academic and personal projects with priority given to those using software not loaded on other computers in the library.<\/p>

The Media Lab operates on an\u00a0open lab model\u00a0that makes our facilities available whenever the library is open.\u00a0But the Media Lab offers more than equipment and software. Our trained staff have a passion for media production and empowering others to look and sound their best.\u00a0If you need help getting started,\u00a0drop by to work with one of our student media specialists during normal staff hours<\/a>.

HARDWARE<\/h3>

Students and faculty working in the Media Lab have access to the following hardware.<\/p>

\"\"iMacs<\/span>
The \u00a027\u201d iMac computers with 4 gb of RAM. Like other lab computers on campus, any files you save to the hard drive will be wiped once you log out so remember to bring a hard drive or USB drive large enough to save all files you create before leaving the lab.<\/p>

\"\"Card Readers<\/span>
Each computer has a Griffin Simplifi hub for reading popular memory cards (CF, SD, or MemoryStick), connecting USB drives, and charging an iPhone or iPod touch. The iPhone dock will not allow users to download or save media to a personal device.<\/p>

\"\"Scanners<\/span>
The lab also has Canon LiDE 200 scanners for high-quality scans up to 4800 dpi and an Epson 1000XL tabloid scanner capable of scanning originals up to 12\u201dx17\u201d.<\/p>

\"\"Printers<\/span>
We have an HP 1200 dpi black-and-white laser printer and an HP 600 dpi color printer connected to students\u2019 UniPrint balances.<\/p>
