Every April, the Texas Christian Schools Interscholastic Tournament (TCSIT) is held in Abilene on the ACU campus. The competition has been ongoing for over 30 years and is the largest Church of Christ academic competition in the state.  Approximately 800 middle school and high school students and 200 teachers from 22 schools will participate in three days of TCSIT events, including math, science, speech, acting, written, art and Bible events, which are arranged for and judged by Dr. Joe Cardot and other members of ACU’s Department of Communication and Sociology. The tournament will be held this year on April 6-8, mostly in the Bible and Business buildings, and will include break areas for student competitors and faculty sponsors in the Brown Library, with refreshments sponsored by the library and the ACU Speaking Center.
