The Gaines B. Stanley Sr. Theological Reading Room in Brown Library is expanding its collection of volumes in the Oxyrhynchus Papyri series (OP) which includes some of the oldest known fragments of the New Testament and other early Christian texts. Volumes in this series contain images, transcriptions, and translations of ancient texts discovered in Egypt near the turn of the 20th century. The OP is one of the most important collections of New Testament texts in the world, and volumes in this series will support the  research and instructional needs of faculty and students. Dr. John Boyles, Assistant Professor of New Testament, noted, “this is a great move for the library to make, building on ACU’s legacy of excellence in this field of study.”
