The certification enables students to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adobe.com\/content\/dam\/acom\/en\/products\/creativecloud\/education\/pdfs\/final_aca_info_cta.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">demonstrate design principles and have an edge<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> on skills that can be used when working for an employer and with clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAs an aspiring game designer going more on the artistic side, I believe the certification will be useful for getting internships or jobs,\u201d says sophomore, Camila Rodrigues. She took the courses online at Lynda.com.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Amos Guiterrez, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learning Technology Specialist and Adobe Ambassador,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> administered the process, and was the one in charge of the exam access codes and monitoring the exam. \u201cOver the next year, we will keep in touch with the students to see if they believe their certification aided them in securing an internship or job,\u201d says Amos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ten ACU students earned their Adobe Certification:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lauren Meandro<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Adrianna Mott <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Camila Rodrigues <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jade Rupley <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alma Nava<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Adrienne Barrick<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Timothy Yerger<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hannah Scherr <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shelby McKillip <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elizabeth Wong <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Spring, the Innovation Foundry offered an opportunity for students to take the Adobe Certified Associate certification exam &#8211; an industry-recognized certification that demonstrates proficiency in Adobe digital skills, such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
